The Organizing Committee of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) has released a very positive initial report on ticket sales for the tournament, which will be hosted in Morocco. Enthusiasm is already running high, with more than one-third of available tickets snapped up just days after sales opened.
According to figures released by the committee, early sales data confirms the immense anticipation surrounding the tournament. Out of the 400,000 tickets made available during the first phase, 137,250 have already been purchased by football fans across Africa and beyond.
Launched in early October, this first sales phase has achieved a purchase rate of over 30%, reflecting the widespread excitement for this 35th edition of the tournament, set to take place in Morocco.
Fans from Around the World
Another strong indicator of this enthusiasm is the number of FAN ID applications, which are required for stadium entry. According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), 211,078 FAN ID requests have already been submitted, with 170,350 cards issued so far. Of these, 43,865 came from international fans representing 124 different countries—highlighting the global appeal of the tournament, which extends far beyond the African continent.
Upcoming Sales Phases
For those who haven’t secured their tickets yet, there’s still hope. CAF has already announced the dates for the next two ticket sales phases:
- Second phase: October 25, 2025
- Third phase: November 25, 2025
Each phase will offer fans the opportunity to obtain tickets to matches held in various Moroccan cities, including Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Fès, and Tangier.
