Brahim Diaz’s future at Real Madrid appears to be taking shape. As José Mourinho prepares to return to the Real Madrid dugout, the Portuguese manager has reportedly decided to place his trust in the Moroccan international for next season.
According to Defensa Central, Brahim Diaz is among the players the ‘Special One’ wishes to keep. The Portuguese manager is said to particularly value the Atlas Lion’s versatility, technical ability and capacity to play in several attacking positions.
According to the Spanish media outlet, José Mourinho believes he can get the best out of the 26-year-old and plans to give him a key role in his sporting project at Real Madrid.
This confidence comes at a time when Brahim Diaz is shining with the Atlas Lions at the 2026 World Cup. The Moroccan playmaker has already distinguished himself with four assists, contributing to Morocco’s historic run to the quarter-finals, where Mohamed Ouahbi’s side will face France.
Conversely, several players could leave Real Madrid during the upcoming transfer window. According to the same source, Eduardo Camavinga and Raúl Asencio are among those likely to be on their way out.
If this trend continues, Brahim Diaz could start the coming season in a stronger position at Real Madrid, buoyed by his performances for Morocco and the confidence José Mourinho is said to have in him.
