
Morocco now knows the identity of the referee who will take charge of their 2026 World Cup round of 16 tie against Canada. FIFA has appointed Englishman Michael Oliver to referee the match, scheduled for Saturday at Houston Stadium.
The experienced English referee will be assisted by his compatriots Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring, who will serve as first and second assistant referees respectively.
Dutch referee Danny Makkelie has been appointed as the fourth official. His compatriot Hessel Steegstra will act as the reserve assistant referee.
The winner of this clash between Morocco and Canada will secure their place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup, where the Atlas Lions will aim to continue their historic run.
