In a detailed statement, the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football emphasized that its approach throughout the case was based solely on one principle: the strict enforcement of the competition’s regulations.
According to the federation, the controversy stemmed from incidents that led to the interruption of a match. From the very beginning, Morocco called for the rules to be applied without questioning the sporting merit of any team involved.
Following an appeal filed by the FRMF, CAF acknowledged that the regulations had not been properly respected. This decision ultimately validated Morocco’s position and confirmed the outcome in its favor.
The Moroccan federation highlighted its full compliance with legal procedures, including submitting formal arguments and attending official hearings. It described the ruling as a step forward for fairness, consistency, and credibility in African football.
Looking ahead, Morocco is already focusing on upcoming major competitions, reaffirming its commitment to both sporting excellence and respect for the rules.
The statement also praised all participating nations, describing the tournament as a significant moment for African football, despite the controversy surrounding its conclusion.
